This scam has become common and is referred to as the “Change-of-Banking-Details Fraud” and originates outside the USA. We will never change our banking details via unsolicited email. We recommend that you always compare the bank account details on any invoice you receive from us to your previous records. If you suspect that the bank account number on an invoice from Met One Instruments, Inc. has been changed, do not reply to the suspicious email. Please verify our banking details by calling us on +1 (541) 471-7111. Please forward the fraudulent email to your point of contact in our accounting department so that we can track the activity. Also, check the sending email address as it will direct you to the fraudster and not to our official email address.
